Watercolor Effect Background card

I decided to do a card using Tim Holtz distress inks to create a watercolor effect background-  

they are perfect for this technique! 

I decided to watercolor the image too..

I like the background as it looks like clouds on a rainy day. I do love this technique, but its impossible to duplicate.. Every single background is different!

This time for Party Time Tuesdays I created a Magnolia Tilda card:

Love this image!! I used a doily underneath the image along with Wild Orchid Craft flowers (my favourite!)

A special tip-- I like to put cheesecloth behind my images sometimes to create texture and dimension. It adds a really delicate, girly effect. 

I also like to add home-made enamel dots with my flower clusters (I made these dots by melting colourful perler beads in the oven!)

Roses Tag

Hi All!!
Have not made a tag for AGES-- but was cruising through the Tag Tuesday Blog and got inspired by everyone's wonderful creations!

Tried to go a bit vintage, which I don't usually do very well.. But I love roses and have many in my stash, so that part was easy ;) I find I have a lot more fun creating tags like this when I don't worry so much about getting everything "perfect."... Sometimes I forget that crafting supposed to be fun, not stressful.
